Crime Log for Monday, Nov. 21, 2011

Officers made several arrests this weekend.
Just after midnight on Saturday, officers, arrested Michael Hutchinson, 18, a Carson City resident, on a felony suspicion of using false identification to avoid prosecution and a felony parole violation hold from Lyon County. He was also cited for resisting arrested and minor consumption. Hutchinson allegedly gave the name of an older relative in an attempt not to be arrested. Total bail was set at $10,400, but no bail was issued for the Lyon County hold.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday, a sheriff's deputy arrested Darryl Bruce Morris Jr., 24, a roofer from Dayton, on a suspected felony third driving under the influence offense, as well as driving on a suspended license, failure to maintain a single lane, and a speed violation. Bail was set at $11,090 plus administrative costs.

At around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, near the intersection of Snyder Avenue and Bigelow Way, deputies arrested Austin Bitisillie, 21, a Carson City resident, for gross misdemeanor battery on a police officer. Bail was set at $20,000.

Sheriff's deputies arrested Richard Alan Hale, 30, an unemployed Carson City man, just prior to midnight on Saturday evening, on suspicion of felony domestic battery with substantial harm against another male occupant of his residence. Bail was set at $15,000.

An officer spotted a suspicious suspect around 3 a.m. Sunday morning, leading to the arrest of Shaun N. Day, 29, an unemployed Carson City man, for two felony violations of pretrial conditions as well as an alleged felony trafficking in a controlled substance, a misdemeanor obstructing a police officer, and a misdemeanor possible drug paraphernalia. Officers spotted Day walking near the AM/PM at the corner of 7th St. and Carson St., leading to his arrest when he allegedly dumped illegal items into the restroom at the gas station. Bail is set at $40,000.

Corey Demont Bynum, 27, a Carson City resident, was arrested at around 4 a.m. this morning for felony commercial burglary and felony parole violation, as well as two misdemeanor offenses. Officers were called to the Market Street Wal-Mart Supercenter after a report of a possible burglarized cell phone was made. Total bail was set at $4,300 plus administrative costs, but no bail was set for the parole violation charge.
