Silver THINK Series: Critical Thinking for Seniors featured at Carson City Senior Center
Seniors can Prevent (or slow) Cognitive Decline. Critical thinking, along with exercise, diet, sleep, and socializing are the key components to keeping a healthy brain.
The Carson City Senior Center is presenting a six-part program to help seniors develop and maintain a healthy mind by sharpening their critical thinking skills. With lectures, discussion, exercises, and social interaction, each session will provide insight and skills for being a better thinker.
Presenter Burke Pease, a retired tourism executive with a Master of Management degree, had a twenty-year second career as a adjunct professor. Teaching at California State University – Monterey Bay, Golden Gate University, and the University of Phoenix, his instructional portfolio included a graduate level course in Critical Thinking.
Starting June 13 for six Thursdays (excluding July 4th), the sessions will be in the Tahoe Room of the Senior Center from 1:45 to 3:15PM. Enrollment is now open at the Reception Area of the Senior Center or by calling (775) 883-0703.
