Squeeze In aims for Carson City opening at Curry Street location by Nevada Day
More details of this fall's opening of the popular Squeeze In restaurant in Carson City were announced Thursday, however the exact opening date has not been firmed up.
The family owned breakfast and lunch restaurant, established in Reno and Truckee as well as locations in California, announced earlier this month its plans to open inside Carson City's new downtown development, the Adam’s Trust Building, currently being built for retail and residential spaces at 308 Curry Street.
The family hopes to have to have the restaurant opened by Nevada Day weekend, the last weekend of October.
The Carson City location will be the sixth family-owned site of the Squeeze In restaurants, known throughout Nevada and California. Additionally there are franchise locations in Las Vegas and Modesto and soon to Chino Hills and Santa Clara, Calif.
“We are beyond excited to bring The Squeeze to Carson City. We love our home state and are thrilled to be taking our concept to the capital,” said Squeeze In co-owner, Kay Salerno.
“Squeeze In thrives on serving our community in any capacity that we can. We know Carson City will enjoy our food, fun environment and our love for the community, without having to make the drive to Reno,” said co-owner Shila Morris.
As some may know from Reno and Truckee, Squeeze In features dozens of unique omelette combinations, even drawing attention from celebrity chef, Bobby Flay, who featured the restaurant on The Food Network’s Throwdown with Bobby Flay. The restaurant is regularly voted Best Breakfast and has been featured in The New York Times twice and Fox Business News twice.
The restaurant will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will serve breakfast and lunch all day, 363 days a year. Known for its "Best Omelettes On The Planet" trademark features breakfast and lunch items such as eggs benedict, celebrity chef inspired French toast, pancakes, breakfast burritos, and a wide assortment of unique sandwiches, salads, burgers and homemade soups. The Squeeze In also serves a wide variety of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan menu items.
Squeeze In is the second restaurant to go into the new downtown Carson City development. In May it was announced The Martin Hotel Restaurant, a well-known Basque restaurant based in Winnemucca, will occupy ground level space at 308 N. Curry St.
