Voting begins for NV Energy Foundation's 'Power of Good' $30K giveaway

Voting is now open for the $30,000 NV Energy Foundation Power of Good Giveaway. More than 85 nonprofits statewide that are helping youth and young adults ages 12 to 24 through diverse and inclusive programs are eligible and your votes decide the winners.
Diverse programs celebrate the differences of the people in our communities, inclusion creates an environment of mutual respect, trust and commitment so that all individuals can contribute based on their unique talents and backgrounds.
Nonprofits have a chance to receive $15,000 in northern Nevada or $15,000 in southern Nevada. First place winners will be given $10,000; second place $3,000; and third place $2,000 in both northern Nevada and southern Nevada.
Contest voting is open from Monday, June 17 at 8 a.m. through Friday, June 21 at 11:59 PDT.
You can vote once per day, June 17 through Friday, June 21, for the nonprofit program you would like to win the giveaway. Be sure to encourage your family and friends to vote, too.

Nonprofit organizations that are helping youth and young adults in NV Energy’s service territory through diverse and inclusive programs provide vital services and resources for our state.
This giveaway provides nonprofits the opportunity to tell their story, and is intended to award excellence in programming and positive community impact.
The Power of Good Giveaway is just one of the ways the NV Energy Foundation supports hundreds of nonprofits each year. The Foundation is not funded by customers.
NV Energy maintains the NV Energy Foundation, a 501c3, to support its philanthropic efforts. Through direct grants, scholarships and employee grant programs, the NV Energy Foundation actively supports improvements in the quality of life in NV Energy’s service territories.
