Nevada Humane Society offers pet adoption 'Tax Day Tax Break'
With April 15 looming on the horizon, Nevada Humane Society is offering you the perfect Tax Day Tax Break — a companion of the four-legged kind.
Don’t stress about your taxes but instead deduct from Nevada Humane Society and invest in a lifetime of love! From April 9 to April 19, all adult* dogs and cats are $15 off the standard adoption fee of $50 — plus cats over the age of three are free (*Adults are 4 months and older and reduced fees do not apply to specialty priced pets)! All pets have been prepared and audited thoroughly, services which include spay or neuter, vaccines and a microchip.
“Studies have shown that animals help to relieve stress, allow us to maintain better overall health, and of course, provide a companionship unlike any other,” said Kimberly Wade, Senior Manager of Communications and Events. “While Tax Day is only one day every year, why not adopt and enjoy a stress-free life for every day of every year?”
Not ready to adopt but still looking for a Tax Day Tax Break? Donations made to Nevada Humane Society are also tax-deductible. The charitable, non-profit is a registered 501©3 and receives no government funding, from local or national sources, therefore all donations directly benefit the care of homeless pets.
Nevada Humane Society is open for adoptions seven days a week at two locations from 11am to 6:30pm and an hour earlier at 10am on Saturday. For pet adoptions in Reno, visit 2825 Longley Lane. For pet adoptions in Carson City, visit 3770 Butti Way.
