Snow Day Friday: Carson City schools closed due to storm
UPDATE 8:14AM: All schools in the Douglas County School District are closed for today.
The Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada is also closed today due to snow.

The Carson City School District announced that all schools will be closed today, Friday, due to heavy snow. Western Nevada College's Carson City campus, including the Child Development Center, will be closed today due to weather.
Fallon and Douglas campuses remain open.
For the Douglas County School District, all schools except Zephyr Cove Elementary are on a two-hour delay, according to the DCSD web site. Weather-related tardies will be excused.
Zephyr Cove Elementary School at Lake Tahoe is closed today, the district reported.
In Lyon County, all schools are operating at normal Friday times today. There are no delays.
Classes will be delayed at University of Nevada, Reno. UNR will be on a two-hour delay for the start of classes and the opening of campus operations and offices. Classes scheduled to begin before 10 a.m. are canceled and campus operations will resume as scheduled as of 10 a.m. this morning. The delay applies to all University facilities and campuses in the Reno area.
