Dates announced: Nevada Fair celebration in Carson City July 30 through August 2
The Carson City Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up in preparation for the second year of the Nevada Fair. This year’s event will be held July 30 through August 2 at the Carson City Fairgrounds at Fuji Park, 601 Old Clear Creek Road.
Last year’s event was a huge success, and we anticipate this year’s fair to be even bigger and better! The theme last year was the Sesquicentennial Celebration, commemorating the 150th year of Nevada’s statehood. This year’s theme will be “Faces of Nevada,” recognizing the importance of ranching and agriculture in our area. Follow the fair news on Facebook here.
We encourage everyone to come out, support and enjoy your Nevada Fair again this coming summer, which will still include bus service to and from the event. There will be free parking at the Casino Fandango with free bus service between the parking and the Fairgrounds.
Slated again this year will be a carnival, music, food, displays, and a wide variety of livestock shows and competitions and entertainment for the entire family to come and enjoy.
If you’d like to become a part of the fun as a volunteer for the event, please call (775) 283-4718, and if you’d like to be a funding sponsor as an individual or a business please contact Susan Taylor, Fair Manager, at (530) 966-1975.
For more information on this event please contact the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department at (775) 887-2262.
