Bagpipes, drums, river dancers and a live rock band brought St. Patrick's Day revelers to their feet Friday on McFadden Plaza in downtown Carson City.

Area pubs, bars and restaurants were crowded Friday afternoon and into the evening around Carson City as celebrants embraced the traditional Irish holiday.
