Bikers won’t want to miss the weekly party at Battle Born Harley with house band, the Smoken Rabbits; all vehicles are welcome to join in the fun and get some grub from the Rollin Pizza Pie food truck. The whole family will enjoy tonight’s Twilight Concert with the Sextones at the Dangberg Home Historic Ranch. Learn about Virginia City ghosts with authors Sandie LaNae and Arlene Laferry at the haunted Gold Hill Hotel.

A 52-year-old woman visiting from Thailand has been identified as the person who died Monday in a crash on Highway 50 near Cave Rock at Lake Tahoe. The incident is being investigated as DUI related with a Carson City driver suspected in causing the crash, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The Brewery Arts Center will continues an unforgettable season of free concerts under the stars in Carson City! this Saturday. Having started out strong last week with Big Bad VooDoo Daddy, the great music continues with The Novelists and Athena McIntyre.

The Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation is hosting an Open House and demonstration of disc golf at the historic Wungnema House located in Mills Park, from 2 to 5 p.m. this Sunday, July 2.

Celebrated as one of the best July 4th fireworks shows in the nation attracting an estimated 100,000 people, “Lights on the Lake” pyrotechnic display at south shore Lake Tahoe is synchronized to music from patriotic favorites to new chart-topping rock and pop hits.

In this edition of It’s Your City, host Cortney Bloomer sits down with Jeff Fast of the Brewery Arts Center to discuss the Levitt-AMP Concert Series that begins this Friday in Carson City featuring Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

The five-piece band Mo’z Motley Blues will perform blues, rock pop and soul at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park at 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 22.

Stewart Indian School is awash in bright colors, beadwork, and dancers from all across the country during their annual Fathers’ Day Pow Wow. Single lane closures and minor travel delays will take place on State Route 341 south of Virginia City beginning Monday, June 19 as the Nevada Department of Transportation resurfaces the roadway.

UPDATE MONDAY 5:40AM: A late spring storm blasted the Sierra with snow this morning, forcing chain or snow tire requirements over Highway 50 Spooner, State Route 207 over Kingsbury Grade, State Route 431 over Mt. Rose Highway and I-80 over Donner Pass. Go here for an update on area road conditions related to the storm. The National Weather Service forecast calls for the skies to be clearing by tonight with a gradual warming trend this week.

The streets of downtown Carson City come alive this month with the sound of music as concert series fill the summer air of the historic west side.

I hope that no one is thinking that the middle of the week has nothing to offer. You’ll find some melodic rock all the way from Los Angeles when The Battlefield hits the stage at Sassafras. If you live or work downtown, the Public Meeting regarding the upcoming Epic Rides event will of great interest to you. Meet local artist, Carol Brown, at the reception celebrating her work in Comma Coffee’s Backseat Gallery. Wind down with some Jack Daniel’s at the Fox Brewpub – they’re celebrating Whiskey Wednesday in the Fox’ Den.

The Nevada Department of Transportation will begin a project Wednesday, June 7 to reinforce a destabilized roadside slope for enhanced safety on U.S. 50 at Lake Tahoe.

Tickets are available for a Aug. 18, 2017 VIP Celebrity Dinner the night before the Aug. 19 Carl Howell Memorial Music Festival in Carson City.

The special VIP evening dinner at Empire Ranch Golf Course, is for people to meet and mingle with the celebrities, athletes and musicians who will be in Carson City to honor fallen Carson City Sheriff’s Deputy Carl Howell, said organizer Don Alexander, who formed the nonprofit The Last Respond Fund, to raise money for the Howell family.

Rock Steady Boxing of Northern Nevada, an exercise program designed to help those suffering from Parkinson's Disease, has announced its Boxer of the Month.
