Carson City woman faces multiple charges after vehicle fire in Kings Canyon

A 51-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday afternoon in Kings Canyon on a U.S. Forest Service road for misdemeanor reckless driving, driving with a suspended and revoked license for DUI, alcohol consumption in public and littering, a sheriff's deputy said.

The kids of Youth Theater Carson City present a junior adaptation of the musical favorite this weekend and next. Much of my gardening life for most of the year is about doing: fertilizing, mowing, watering, raking, digging, transplanting and pruning. Now, with winter upon us, I have more of a chance to reflect on how the landscape actually looks as I sit in a sunny window watching the birds, the sun rise or set, the deer wandering through, or the weather blowing clouds around.

A 35-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of felony home invasion after allegedly breaking into a home and helping himself to food in the kitchen, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
