2020 NCET Tech Awards to Honor Top Talent in Northern Nevada’s Technological Community

Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (more popularly known as NCET) will be hosting a hybrid version of its annual Technology Awards alongside the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) Awards on Wednesday, October 21.

Greenhouse Project dinner fundraiser, comedy, live music and more: Carson City region readies for upcoming weekend

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. The Union will host a dining fundraiser for the Greenhouse Project on Friday, and artist Jakota Wass performs at Bella Vita Bistro. The 43rd annual Wild Sheep Show will be held at the Reno-Sparks Convention. Comedian Marc Yaffee headlines the Carson Comedy Club on Saturday with much more in store for the weekend! Friday, March 17: Things to do on St. Patrick’s Day

Irish eyes are smiling on us: it’s going to be a gorgeous day. You won’t have to look far for some green beer, whiskey, or corned beef – there will be St. Patrick’s Day parties all over. Live music is on the menu, as well. Choose from Men of Worth at the Brewery Arts Center, an all ages punk show at Sassafras, or Stereo Galaxy in the McFadden Plaza, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The brave ones will be at the St. Baldrick Fundraiser at Red’s Old 395 where you’ll see some heads shaved for a good cause. Where ever you end up, just make sure you have a plan to get home safely.
