Reno-Tahoe Network to celebrate 2019 American Business Women's Day with fundraising luncheon
One of the most historic events affecting the American Business Women's Association was the proclamation of September 22 as American Business Women’s Day. Enacted in 1983 by a joint resolution of Congress and the signature of then-President Ronald Reagan, the proclamation recognized all working women. Thirty-six years later, ABW Day continues to be recognized as a celebration of achievements of business women, members, and the Association.
Maintaining its 15-year tradition, ABWA's Reno Tahoe Express Network (RTEN) is celebrating ABW Day on Thursday, September 26, 2019, with a fundraising luncheon at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Proceeds help fund scholarships for women pursuing college educations and members attending professional development certificate programs offered through ABWA's National Leadership Conferences.
This year's keynote speaker is the inspiring Robin Brockelsby along with Mistress of Ceremonies Arianna Bennett of KTVN Channel 2 News.
