Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of holiday events around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the Silver and Snowflake Festival of Lights, the 24th annual Parade of Lights in Gardnerville, the annual Project Empty Bowls dinner held at the Carson Mall, a Holiday Crawl in downtown Carson City and much more! Carson City deputies make arrests for protection order violation, multiple DUIs

A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Monday for misdemeanor violation of a protection order.
According to an arrest report, deputies responded late Sunday evening to a West Nye Lane apartment for a report of a man and woman arguing, yelling and screaming and a woman crying.

A 44 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday night at 9:57 p.m. in the area of Reeves Street and N. Edmunds Drive for a host of alleged offenses, including two felonies, a gross misdemeanor and four misdemeanor violations, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
