A 53-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday, 7:01 p.m. in the area of Sweetwater and Fairview Drive on suspicion of DUI drugs and two counts hit and run of occupied vehicles, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Muscle Powered Evening Conditioning Hikes Program: A different hike every week. Hikes are 5-7 miles, usually with some elevation gain, of 1 ½ hour + duration. Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called late this afternoon to a rollover crash in the area of Goni Road and Maxwell.
According to dispatch the vehicle was a SUV that overturned several times. Arriving fire department personnel said the driver was not injured.

Carson City Fire Department rescues man after vehicle rolls 400 feet down Goni Canyon

Carson City Fire personnel rescue a 40-year-old man who was injured after his truck rolled 400 feet off Goni Road in Carson City, Nev., on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016. The man spent about a day in the wreckage until family members located him and called authorities. He had been looking for a lost dog. He was taken to a Reno hospital for treatment.

Carson City Fire Department called to large chemical fire on Lockheed Way

UPDATE 415PM: Evacuations have been lifted in the industrial park area near the chemical fire earlier today off of Lockheed Way. Those who left their vehicles in the area, can now safely go back to pick them up. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on a misdemeanor charge of filing a false police report, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. According to the arrest report, the man told deputies in June that his ATM debit card had been stolen and subsequently filed a report with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

Four jailed after Carson City sheriff’s drug teams bust large meth sales operation

A traffic stop in Carson City on Thursday led to the discovery a large amount of methamphetamine and led police to an Imperial Way apartment where more meth and other drugs were found, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Four people were arrested on felony drug trafficking charges, 42 grams of methamphetamine was seized as well as pills, drug paraphernalia and cash.

The official opening reception is Friday at 5 p.m. Or enjoy the art at the Nevada Arts Council, inside the BRIC building on Proctor, inside the Sierra Room of the Community Center, or in the two galleries at the Brewery Arts Center.

Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of May 4-10, 2015: Beginning Tuesday, May 5, through Thursday, May 7, the outside northbound lane on Fairview Drive will be closed between Steamboat Drive and Sweetwater Drive.

On Monday, May 4, and Tuesday, May 5, there will be a lane closure on Kansas Street just north of Colorado Street with flagger controlled traffic.

On Wednesday, May 6, there will be a lane closure on Ryan Way between Arrowhead Drive and Lockheed Way with flagger controlled traffic.

A 28-year-old Carson City man was jailed early Monday morning on suspicion of felony drug trafficking and possession charges after deputies found approximately 16.5 grams of heroin packaged balloons in a parking lot area of a Goni Road casino, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
