It’s Bike Month in Carson City, and the ladies’ Tuesday bike ride up Ash Canyon has returned for the season. You’ll need a helmet and a trail-ready bike if you’d like to join in. A hike up Goni Road with Muscle Powered will be worth the views and a good work-out. Mile High Jazz Band has teamed up with vocalist Jakki Ford for this month’s performance; you’ll find them tonight at Living the Good Life. Camping season is upon us, and the weather is getting nice. It's that time of year when people like to get out and have a good time in the great outdoors camping, four-wheeling, hiking etc. It's fun to enjoy our open spaces.
Just remember, it's important to be responsible while we're all living it up outside.

Suspect flees Carson City deputies, enters church, catches cab and goes to jail

A 34-year-old man was arrested Monday after he was seen exiting a Jeep on Bryan Circle that was reported stolen, then eluding police by going into a church and later catching a cab, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Emergency crews respond to paraglider accident off Goni Road

First responders were dispatched to a gravel pit at the end of Goni Road in North Carson City on report of a paraglider who crashed to the ground, sustaining unknown injuries after falling 50 feet into the pit.

I hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine while it was here, more rain is on the way. Take those spring-breakers to a movie; Galaxy Theater rewards members can enjoy $6.50 movies all day today. Sip something yummy at the Courtyard by Marriott during their wine tasting and open house. Normally the Carson City Photo Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, but due to a scheduling conflict, the meeting is tonight. Dues are only $15 a year and you’ll get the chance to enter their monthly competitions: this month the theme is ‘Winter.’

A 38 year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday night at 7:26 p.m. in the area of Old Hot Springs Road and Roop Street on multiple felony drug offenses, a Carson City Sheriff’s deputy said.

Carson City Sheriff's Office: Suspect at large in Saturday morning stabbing

Deputies were called early Saturday morning to a stabbing that happened during an argument in the area of Bel Aire Circle, a Carson City Sheriff’s Office sergeant said.

A male in his 20s was stabbed by a male suspect, who remains at large.

Two from Carson City were arrested Sunday for felony warrants alleging they obtained money by false pretenses, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Goni area power outage reported in North Carson City

NV Energy is reporting a power outage along Goni Road in North Carson City.

The outage was reported at around 1:20 p.m. Thursday, and appears to have been caused by a folding canopy that hit nearby power lines.
