A 34-year-old man was arrested Monday after he was seen exiting a Jeep on Bryan Circle that was reported stolen, then eluding police by going into a church and later catching a cab, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE 4:05PM: The brush fire has been contained and units will be released shortly, said Carson City Fire Department Chief Sean Slamon.

Carson City Fire Department responded Thursday afternoon to a report of a power line sparking and causing a small brush fire in an area between Duck Hill Road and Goni Road northeast of Carson City and southeast of Washoe Lake.

A single motorcycle accident with unknown injuries has been reported by emergency dispatch at Goni Road and East College Parkway.

UPDATE 6:57PM: Carson City Fire Department reports there is not a brush fire off of Clear Creek Road.

Multiple lighting strikes Tuesday night have sent the Carson City Fire Department to brush fire calls off of Old Clear Creek Road and in the Goni Road and Duck Hill areas.

A 45-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Tuesday for a felony warrant alleging embezzlement, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Three are in custody in connection to a robbery that happened Tuesday in the Goni Road area, a Carson City Sheriff's Office captain said.

First responders were dispatched to a gravel pit at the end of Goni Road in North Carson City on report of a paraglider who crashed to the ground, sustaining unknown injuries after falling 50 feet into the pit.

Meet just east of the gates for the mine. Water and closed-toed shoes required. Hats, sunscreen and walking sticks recommended.

Deputies were called early Saturday morning to a stabbing that happened during an argument in the area of Bel Aire Circle, a Carson City Sheriff’s Office sergeant said.

A male in his 20s was stabbed by a male suspect, who remains at large.

Two from Carson City were arrested Sunday for felony warrants alleging they obtained money by false pretenses, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

NV Energy is reporting a power outage along Goni Road in North Carson City.

The outage was reported at around 1:20 p.m. Thursday, and appears to have been caused by a folding canopy that hit nearby power lines.
