Jacksons Food Stores raise money for public awareness efforts to end domestic violence

Jacksons Food Stores will award $24,481 to the Nevada Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence, which includes their matching funds as part of the Jackson’s Gift of Peace campaign. Jacksons Food Stores operate in Reno, Carson City, Fernley, Fallon and Yerington.

Both Carson High School Wind Ensemble and Concert Bands achieved superior ratings, the highest possible rating.

This annual golf tournament is played in honor of Realtor Alyce McCracken, a resident of Northern Nevada who had a passion for continuing education and training. Proceeds from the tournament benefit local high schools in the communities served by the Sierra Nevada Realtors including the counties of Carson City, Douglas, Churchill, and parts of Lyon.

In its 34th year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade Company has announced Jared Marchegger of Sierra Lutheran High School as its 2018-19 Gatorade Nevada Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year.

Marchegger is the second Gatorade Nevada Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year to be chosen from Sierra Lutheran High School.

WNC names 373 students to Fall dean’s list, one of largest in years
