NHP: Northbound I-580 traffic reopens near Galena bridge; semi crash on I-80 closes wesbound traffic east of Fernley

Snow was still coming down at around 8 p.m. The Nevada Department of Transportation has plows and sand trucks in the area. NHP advises the roadway remains icy and snow-covered.

The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to multiple crashes Thursday night, one that involved up to 35 vehicles and closed northbound I-580 near Galena Creek Bridge and the other crash on I-80 east of Fernley that closed westbound traffic.
