Business Spotlight: Wild Horse Gallery expands to Carson City

Sheila Hillebrand's art gallery and decor business on C Street in Virginia City ran out of room pretty quickly, she said.

"I had everything stacked up in the hallway where they could look through it," she said. "But most people don't look through it."

Most of the prints she carried were stacked on the floor because there wasn't the wall space to display them all.

Fire Chief: Carson City experiencing localized flooding, sandbags available

Localized flooding is being experienced throughout much of Carson City as a winter storm continues to bring drenching rain to not only western Nevada but the Sierra.

Carson City Fire Chief and Emergency Manager Bob Schreihans notes that minor street flooding, mud and debris have been the result of the arrival of an "Atmospheric River" type storm, which started early this morning in the Sierra and Western Nevada.

Jim Cryer broke ground on his dealership's new service center using a bright red shovel that he brought out of storage for the first time.
