Nevada Day Store to reopen inside Carson City Visitors Bureau
A sign on the door at 108 W. Telegraph Street in downtown Carson City appeared the week before Thanksgiving, notifying customers that the Nevada Day Store was closed and would be reopening inside the Carson City Visitors Bureau (CCVB), located at 716 N. Carson Street.
Nevada Day, Inc. President Janet Baker said the move was prompted by the amount of work that her organization has been doing in conjunction with the CCVB.
"We found that we were collaborating more, and it just seemed like the logical thing to do," she said.
Baker said the Nevada Day Store will occupy about the same amount of space inside the CCVB as it had at its previous Telegraph Street location, but the layout will allow for a little bit more inventory.
Baker said Nevada Day, Inc. is still in the process of moving over to the new N. Carson Street location, but it will be ready for a soft opening this Friday, Dec. 16.
A grand opening open house celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. inside the CCVB building at 716 N. Carson Street. Wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres will be available for guests and visitors during the open house event.
"We invite everyone to come down and see our new digs," Baker said. "We want people to know what the Nevada Day Store has to offer."
