Care Flight called for injury accident near Spooner Drive and Carriage Crest
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Fri, 03/15/2013 - 5:12pmCarson City fire and rescue were at the scene of a two-vehicle injury accident early Friday night near the intersection of Spooner Drive and Carriage Crest. At least one person had reported injuries that will require them to be airlifted by Care Flight.
The accident was reported shortly before 6 p.m. When Carson City fire crews arrived, occupants in both vehicles were outside and appeared injured. It is unknown at this time how many were injured in the accident.

Leader Chris Bayer has written songs for 40 years and has twice won Sierra Arts awards for his efforts. He performs his original material regularly in our area. Woman injured, taken by Care Flight after rollover crash
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Thu, 03/14/2013 - 12:49pmA rollover accident at Long and State streets in Carson City on Thursday afternoon sent a woman to the hospital via Care Flight.
The accident happened at around 1:10 and involved two vehicles, a Ford Thunderbird and an older model Chevy truck. The driver of the truck did not appear to be injured.

Northern Nevada Medical Center will offer free screenings for blood pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI), glucose and neck/back physical therapy on a first-come, first-served basis.
The 11th annual Expo will be held March 23 – 24 at the Reno Sparks Convention Center. Physicians strongly advise having regular health screenings to which creates a dialogue and a proactive relationship with healthcare providers.
Carson City teen flown to hospital after being hit by vehicle at the roundabout
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 03/13/2013 - 12:52pmUPDATE 5:45PM: Carson City fire and ambulance personnel responded to an accident Wednesday afternoon where a 14-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle. His injuries appear to be non-life threatening, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
The accident happened at around 1:30 p.m. at the roundabout located at 5th and Fairview, said Carson City Fire Chief Stacey Giomi. Care Flight transported the teen to Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Carson City teens admit to vandalism spree, one still being sought

Nevada climate, environmental data network to inform research, community

Major road construction begins Monday on Carson City freeway

The presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Center, Sierra Room. The public is invited to ask questions of Public Works staff regarding the project and provide comments regarding the conceptual plans.
