Austin Bantam Society to celebrate 51st annual meeting with Carson City car show

The Austin Bantam Society will hold its 51st annual meeting in Carson City, Oct. 4-5. A car show will take place at the Nevada State Legislative Grounds on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Carson City’s Rockabilly Riot brings cars, pin-ups, crafts and music to Mills Park

Rockabilly Riot was held from Thursday evening through Saturday, and included vintage cars, pin up girls, craft vendors, food, roller derby, music, and more!

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office investigates illegal dumping of stack of cars on residential street

Three cars, one on top of another, have been dumped illegally along East 6th Avenue in Sun Valley and deputies investigating the dumping are asking the public for any information that will help identify and locate the person or persons responsible.

Hello fellow anglers. We have a few things going on in our local area. For anglers that fish Topaz Lake, you have until the end of the month to wet a line. As of October 1st, the lake will be closed until January 1, 2020. There is some speculation into next years fishing season.

NDOT to begin lane closures starting Wednesday on Upper Mt. Rose Highway

CARSON CITY — Beginning Wednesday, intermittent daytime lane closures will take place on Mt. Rose Highway, State Route 431 in areas near Incline Village and Mt Rose Ski Resort as the Nevada Department of Transportation improves roadside guardrail and resurfaces sections of the roadway.

Classic cars of all makes and models filled Fuji Park Saturday during the sixth annual Send a Scout to Camp Car Show in Carson City.

Vintage cars and trucks lined up alongside each other while participants strolled around the park and soaked in the warm summer sun.

Hello fellow anglers, Just returned from a couple weeks of fishing from our local area to the Rogue River Valley in Oregon. The day we arrived, they had a wild fire that started at 200 acres and by the next day it was over 10,000. Grants pass was smokey and hard to breath, so Renee, my cousin Steve and I ventured to Brookings OR to do some salmon fishing.
