Peavine Fire reignites forcing evacuations; no containment, fire burns 1,500 acres

At 9 p.m., the fire was estimated at 1,500 acres and zero percent contained. Local, state, county, and federal firefighters are on scene.

UPDATE 6:04 p.m.: 250 personnel from multiple agencies including the Carson City Fire Department are on scene battling the fire. The acreage is estimated at 650 acres.

Carson City deputies arrest three for possession of stolen kayaks which were found damaged and graffitied with swastikas

According to the report, Stephen Henderson, Daryne James Deck and Terrance Dale Shields were arrested after deputies were dispatched to the Carson River Park to meet with the theft victim.
