— Edible Pedal 100 at Bowers Mansion. 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4005 Bowers Mansion Rd. Join us for our 9th Annual bike ride with gourmet BBQ and foodie ride stops – Edible Pedal 100! This community fundraiser promoting healthy, family activity is brought to you by Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise and Edible Pedal 100. There are 5 lengths you can choose from including a century ride! — C.O.D Casino car show in Minden. 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at C.O.D. Casino, 1593 Esmerelda Ave. Come on down and explore the great motor history with plenty of cars that fit the bill. Classic cars of all makes and models will be present.
— Muscle Powered morning bicycle ride. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fremont Elementary School. Meet at Fremont Elementary School in the South parking lot next to the Linear Ditch Trail. Typically, this ride consists of two 10-15 minute loops with varying pace depending on rider level. This is a “no drop” ride so no one will be left behind. All riders must have a bicycle in safe working condition, a helmet, and closed toed shoes. — Silver State Art Festival coming to Carson City's Fuji Park. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 701 Old Clear Creek Rd. The 2019 Silver State Art Festival is the third annual gathering in Carson City of award-winning gourd artists, painters, photographers, wood, glass and metal artists and from all over the Southwest. The festival runs Sept. 13-15 at Fuji Exhibit Hall, Park & Pavilion in Carson City. Join us on Friday evening for a glass of wine and early holiday shopping. All of the artists will be on hand to chat with and you can learn about their inspiration and techniques.
— Train to Virginia City from Carson City. Event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4650 Eastgate Siding Road. Prices for the ride range from $25-$55. Rediscover Nevada’s rich history in mining and mill on the V&T Carson City-Virginia City route as you meander through tunnels, canyons and mining towns aboard a restored 1914 Pullman coach led by a 1916 Baldwin 2-8-0 steam locomotive. This relaxing all-day train excursion is fully narrated with historical facts and anecdotes. Departing from Carson City’s Eastgate Depot, the 24-mile round-trip tour includes a fun 3.5-hour stopover in historic Virginia City, where you can stroll the boardwalks and explore restaurants, shops, saloons, museums, mines and more. — 'Squeeky Keys' documentary screening. 1 to 3 p.m. at Piper’s Opera House in Virginia City. Join local legend Squeek Steele for the screening of ‘Squeeky Keys’. This documentary chronicles the life of the world’s most prolific female piano player and Guinness World Record holder.
— Celebrate Constitution Week in Carson City with Daughters of the American Revolution. 2 to 3 p.m. at 911 E. Musser Street. Battle Born Chapter DAR and Ft. Churchill Society Children of the American Revolution invite the public to "Celebrate the Charters of Freedom" this Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Ormsby Room, located in the Sheriff's Office, 911 E. Musser Street, Carson City. Featured speaker is Jason Woodbury, District Attorney of Carson City who will speak on " Rascals and Rebels: Uprisings that Sparked America."
