You better watch out, you better not cry, or you may be walking the plank. Santa Claus is coming to town, but he'll be arriving on the U.S.S. Nevada Burning Man Art Car instead of his usual sleigh. He will be escorted by some scurvy pirate elves. Come down to Telegraph Square in Downtown Carson City Saturday, Dec. 12 for the Christmas Parade sponsored by Carson City Downtown 20/20.
Everyone is invited to participate in the parade, just make sure to be lined up at the corner of Telegraph and Curry Street by 10:30 a.m., the parade starts at 11 a.m. sharp. Costumes, ugly sweaters, not ugly sweaters, pirate wear and Santa hats are welcomed.
Once Santa arrives in Telegraph Square, he will available on the porch of Rockin and Rolling from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bring your camera for pictures. Vendors will be in the Square with some holiday gift options, in addition to face painting and a gift basket raffle. Raffle tickets are currently available at Rocking and Rolling at 402 N. Curry St.
Warm up your belly with some yummy food at food trucks, Nevada Nosh and Tahoe Tenderloin. FISH is hosting a food drive, so make sure to bring something non-perishable for those in need during the holiday season.
