John H. Snow joins Nevada Builders Alliance board of directors
CARSON CITY, Nev. – John H. Snow, principal at Reno-based environmental engineering and science firm McGinley & Associates in Reno, has joined the board of directors for the Nevada Builders Alliance.
Snow has served by gubernatorial appointment as the Nevada state geothermal energy commissioner for the Nevada state Commission on Minerals since 2007, and also serves on the executive board of the Mackay School of Science; as a board member for the Nevada Bureau of Mining and the Geology, Great Basin Center for Geothermal Development at the University of Nevada, Reno; and as a committee member of Public Lands and Environmental committees of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. He is the past president of the Nevada Petroleum & Geothermal Society.
Prior to joining McGinley & Associates, Snow was the director of energy development for Enel North America, managing an interdisciplinary team of engineers devoted to the development of renewable energy power plant projects across three western states.
“We are pleased to bring John’s experience and expertise in environmental science to the board to help meet the growing demand for renewable energy,” Aaron West, chief professional officer of Nevada Builders Alliance, said. “Nevada leads the nation in reducing carbon pollution harnessing our natural resources, and we are attracting high wage employers, which brings both commercial and residential construction to support our growing economy. John will help guide our efforts in that arena.”
The Nevada Builders Alliance is a professional organization representing the construction industry, and all affiliated sectors. With over 700 member companies representing tens of thousands of Nevadans in every corner of the state, Carson City-based Nevada Builders serves as the voice of the state’s construction industry.
