This month the Carson City Leisure Hour Club hosts Glen Martel, CEO of the Nevada Builders Alliance at the club’s monthly dinner meeting. The event is set for Thursday, Feb. 15.

The 2022 Silver & Snowflakes Festival and Tree Lighting Festival is coming up on Friday, December 4th, and the Nevada Builders Foundation will be on hand to help keep you warm! Cocoa and coffees with all the fixin's (with or without alcohol) will be available for sale starting at 4:00PM outside the Bank Saloon at 418 South Carson Street, Carson City. All proceeds benefit the Foundation.

The Nevada COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force met with nine counties flagged for having an elevated risk of transmission of COVID-19.

Carson City, Clark, Elko, Humboldt, Lincoln, Lyon, Nye and Washoe counties’ plans were previously approved by the Task Force.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region. The November Gobble Wine Walk kicks off in downtown Carson City followed by a new “Paths and Pedals” bike tour. The Nevada Builders Alliance, owner of the Bank Saloon, has requested assistance by the Brewery Arts Center to solicit proposals from local artists to beautify the electric transformer box located at their property on the corner of Carson and 5th streets. The owners of the property are looking for designs that will go with the established aesthetic of both inside and outside of the bank saloon.

Nevada Builders Alliance, owner of the Bank Saloon building in Carson City, have announced that Mangia Tutto owner Richard Bragiel will be the new operator of the historic location.

The bar, which is scheduled to open in October 2020, has undergone extensive renovations since it was purchased by the Builders Alliance in 2018. Nevada Builders Alliance, the state’s largest construction trade association, has partnered with Heritage Bank of Nevada to complete a renovation of the historic building, formerly Jack’s Bar, in downtown Carson City.

CARSON CITY — The Western Nevada Development District, which assists communities in public and private partnerships, has been awarded $400,000 in CARES Act Recovery assistance to help respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and drive economic development planning going forward.

CARSON CITY — Northern Nevada Development Authority announced the winners Thursday of its annual Pioneer Awards. Winners will be honored and celebrated during the 5th Annual NNDA Pioneer Awards and Gala being held on Nov. 7, 2019.

The Nevada Builders Alliance, the state’s largest construction industry association, has established the Nevada Builders Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit, giving the organization a philanthropic arm for community outreach and education.

Formerly known as the historic Jack’s Bar, the alliance purchased the building with a vision to pay homage to its colorful history.

The Nevada Builders Association will host a “First Nail Ceremony” and give tours of the forthcoming and re-named Bank Saloon, formerly Jack's Bar, in downtown Carson City next month.

CARSON CITY – Carson High School Career and Technical Education presents its annual Career Expo Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Road. The Expo is open to all students, parents and the community.

Carson City marketing agency, In Plain Sight Marketing LLC, has partnered with JOIN Inc. to promote workforce development in Northern Nevada. JOIN Inc. serves 13 counties, providing access to educational and occupational training for individuals – particularly those age 18-24, displaced and income disadvantaged workers, people who are returning to the workforce and veterans.
