Carson City Toyota recognized as community partner to Carson City Schools
The Carson City School District is proud to recognize Carson City Toyota as its November Community Partner of the Month as a Legacy Level partner, the highest level, for their ongoing commitment to supporting local schools and for their generous financial and in-kind contributions to enhance the educational experience for students in Carson City for more than 25 years.
As part of its Community Partner Program, the school district will feature a local business or organization each month for their commitment in helping schools and children have better opportunities and experiences in alignment with the district’s Strategic Plan goals.
Carson City Toyota is considered a Community Partner on the Legacy Level because they support four or more Strategic Plan goals including regularly donating classroom supplies (Goal 2), supporting efforts to reduce chronic absenteeism (Goal 3), sponsoring extracurricular activities including new shot clocks for the Morse Burley Gymnasium at Carson High (Goal 4), regularly donating funds to cover negative school lunch account balances for students (Goal 4) and providing technology upgrades and other funding for school programs (Goal 5). These, as well as many other donations throughout the years, have earned them the Legacy Level.
“We are deeply grateful to Carson City Toyota for their many years of generous commitment to our community’s future,” said Andrew Feuling, superintendent for the Carson City School District. “These types of partnerships help bridge gaps between schools and the community, fostering a sense of shared responsibility for student success and creating a more robust, interconnected educational environment.”
By implementing this new Community Partner Recognition System, Carson City School District aims to build a stronger, more engaged community dedicated to the success and well-being of its students.
The Community Partner Recognition System aims to acknowledge and celebrate the valuable contributions of our community partners aligned with the goals found in the Carson City School District Strategic Plan Empower Carson City 2027.
Goal 1: Exceptional Administrators, Teachers, and Staff
Goal 2: Curriculum that Matters
Goal 3: Engaged Parents and Families
Goal 4: Healthy Generations of Carson Students
Goal 5: Community in Full Partnership
“Carson City Toyota’s contributions have had a lasting impact, and we are fortunate to have such a strong and endearing community partner working with us to improve the learning environment for our students, Feuling continued.”
The school district looks forward to continuing this valuable partnership and encourages other community members and businesses to consider how they can contribute to the success of students.
