Carson City arrests: Deputies make DUI, warrant arrests
A 35-year-old Utah man was arrested Saturday, 3:12 a.m. in the area of Saliman Road and Jodi Lane for suspicion of gross misdemeanor child neglect, misdemeanor DUI and basic speeding, 89 in a 65 mph.
According to the arrest report, a deputy patrolling the area of I-580 and the Fifth Street bridge observed a vehicle pass at an estimated 90 mph. Radar confirmed 89 mph in a posted 65 mph zone.
At Saliman and Jodi Lane the deputy initiated a traffic stop and met with the driver, a female adult in the passenger seat and a five-year-old child in the backseat. The man had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, red watery eyes and a flush complexion. He spoke with thick, slurred speech and advised he had a few beers approximately 3 hours prior, the arrest report states.
He was asked to submit to field sobriety tests and failed all four tests. He was taken into custody and booked into the Carson City Jail without incident. Bail: $3,879.
— A 23-year-old Carson City woman, Heather Lynn Walter, was arrested Friday, 11:14 p.m. in the area of Highway 50 and Airport Road for a felony parole and probation warrant out of Churchill County and a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant out of New River Township Court. She’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 21-year-old Gardnerville woman, Haley Christine Douglas, was booked into jail Saturday, 3:10 a.m. on a felony warrant out of Washoe County alleging attempted burglary. Bail: $20,000.
— A 21-year-old Reno man was booked into Carson City Jail on Friday, 7 p.m. for a misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence warrant out of Carson City Justice Court issued in July 2014. Bail: $3,000.
— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 3:25 p.m. in the area of West College Parkway for a misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence warrant issued Oct. 25, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 35-year-old Lathrop, Calif., man was booked into Carson City Jail on Friday for three misdemeanor warrants: Failure to appear and two warrants out of Lyon County. Bail: $3,915.
