Meet Einstein: Cat of the Week at Carson City's Catmandu
We suspect Einstein, our cat of the week, is at least part Maine Coon. He is a big, beautiful, long-haired tabby with a sweet personality. He grew up with a dominant female cat that bullied him, leaving him a bit shy and introverted, and uncertain with new situations and people.
He will likely hide at first, but with a little patience and lots of love you will find he actually enjoys pets and attention. He will happily carry on a conversation with you. In his deep, raspy voice, he will tell you his innermost thoughts. Einstein is fine with being picked up and held.
He loves to hang out in boxes and likes to play. Though it might take him a little longer than most cats to adjust to a new home and family, he is well worth the extra time.
Einstein is a healthy neutered 5-year-old fellow who is current on his shots and ready for his new home. He is an indoor cat who has lived with other cats his whole life and would likely do well with a mellow friendly cat or a smaller, cat-friendly dog. Big dogs scare him, as do loud noises and small children. He would be a great addition to a quiet tranquil home. Einstein is due to be groomed which will be provided at Catmandu by Dr. Sean.
If you are interested in meeting this big beautiful boy and possibly adding him to your family, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website at CatmanduCC.org/adoptions and plan to meet him at Catmandu, 1829 Brown Street. Potential adopters are welcome Friday through Sunday from 11am to 4 pm. Please plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have plenty of time to spend with the cats before adoptions close.
