'None of the Above!' political song and dance satire today at Brewery Arts Center
As Nevada Day weekend winds down, the election season continues to ramp up and in Carson City, there's plenty of room for song and dance. Robert Leonard Reid’s “None of the Above!” a satirical comedy revue that lampoons the 2012 presidential election continues today with a 2 p.m. performance by the Wild Horse Theater Company at the Brewery Arts Center.
“None of the Above!” is written and composed by Reid, creator of “I Say Nevada!”, directed by Jeffrey Scott and produced by Norma Conway. Through sketches, songs, and dance the show leaves no political party safe as we lampoon a sumptuous array of easy targets including President Barack Obama, Gov. Mitt Romney, the Tea Party, Rick Perry, Donald Trump, Democratic Party hypocrisy, Michele Bachmann, trickle‐down economics, campaign spending billionaires, Wall Street swindlers and more. It is sure to bring side splitting laughter as well as incite controversy and debate just days before the election.
Show dates are today, Sunday at 2 p.m. and November 2, 3 at 7:30 p.m. The performance is in the Maizie Harris Jesse Theater at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King Street in Carson City.
Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Brewery Arts Center box office, (775) 883-1976 or online at www.breweryarts.org. Tickets are $18 general public and $15 for students, seniors, and Wild Horse and BAC members. For more information about this show and upcoming Wild Horse Productions go to www.WildHorseTheater.com.
