The Brewery Arts Center has teamed up with local arts enthusiast Michael Tedesco once again to organize Carson City’s "Unsilent Night." The event is an original composition by Phil Kline, written specifically to be heard outdoors in the month of December.

The Brewery Arts Center received special permission to screen “Once upon a Main Street”, the new Lifetime movie shot at the Brewery Arts Center along with several locations in Carson City and Carson Valley.

The Brewery Arts Center has a newly created mural on the Second Street wall done by an artist from the Nevada Artist Association Gallery, Diana Uzzell.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region. The 2020 Jazz & Beyond Music and Art Festival will include the second annual Carson City Open Studios Tour with multiple locations. Hosted by the Carson City Classic Cinema Club, the Brewery Arts Center is holding a drive-in movie showing of the 1950s classic “Shane” on Saturday. The Brewery Arts Center normally provides the Levitt-Amp concert series throughout the summer, but due to COVID-19 the festivities were cancelled this year. The BAC, however, along with several Carson City community partners, stepped up to bring safe family fun to the capital city, including the Flatbed Concert Series and drive-in movie nights.

June 6 was supposed to be the day of the kick-off concert to the 2020 Levitt AMP Carson City Summer Concert Series. Unfortunately, we all know that large gatherings like the ones that take place at Levitt AMP Carson City are just not possible right now.

The community theatre companies in Carson City and Douglas County, along with our local performance venues, have created a coalition with the goal of navigating the challenges specific to our local theatre community brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Heading into Thursday, happenings lined up include a monthly meeting of the Carson City Native and Newcomers, a preserving history workshop through the Nevada State Archives, trivia night at Bella Vita Bistro, an introduction into improv comedy at the Brewery Arts Center, a Muscle Powered afternoon hike and more. The workshop, Introduction to Improv is free of charge and will be held at The Brewery Arts Center's Performance Hall on Thursday, March 12 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Golden Bough will be returning to the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City on Saturday, March 21 as part of the BAC's Celtic Music Series.

Step aside Felix and Oscar, Florence and Olive are in town! The female version of The Odd Couple opens February 14 at the Brewery Arts Center and runs 14-16 and 21-23 with doors opening at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday nights at doors at 1:30 pm on Sundays. Show at 7:30 pm and 2:00 pm.

The 2020 Celtic Music Series will continue on Feb. 15, 2020 in the Brewery Art Center’s performance hall in Carson City at 7 p.m. with Fortunate Strangers. This is the sixth season of Carson’s Celtic Music series.

The whole audience will be bouncing and swaying to the irresistible rhythm. Everybody singing HI-DE-HO! They’re echoing the King himself, Cab Calloway, as he thrusts his baton into the air, and in his Zoot Suit, jumps, twirls and signals to the band to begin another joyous chorus. Who could forget the incredible sounds and imagery of Cab Calloway and his hot Jazz Orchestra!
