Carson City offers business supply assistance with sanitation supplies, personal protective equipment
Carson City has launched its online Business Supply Assistance program as of Sept. 24. The program is designed for businesses holding a valid business license within Carson City are eligible to apply for personal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitation supplies in order to facilitate compliance with public health measures.
Through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, funding from the Coronavirus Relief Fund will help Carson City cover the immediate impacts of the COVID-19 emergency and its continued response and recovery efforts.
As of Sept. 24, 2020, businesses can order items such as disposable gloves and masks, hand sanitizer, sanitizer stands, and cleaning solution.
On August 5, 2020, the Carson City Board of Supervisors approved the City’s Plan of Expenditure which included $1 million to be used to purchase PPE and sanitation supplies for citywide distribution to ensure the safety of public employees, hospital employees, businesses, patrons, adults, and children.
The City must use the funds by December 30, 2020; supplies will continue to be ordered as long as funds are available.
Every attempt will be made to fill supply requests, visit carson.org/ppe to apply for supply assistance.
The City will distribute quantities in as equitable manner as possible.
