CARSON CITY — A Carson City district judge is expected to make a ruling Tuesday in a dispute over recreational marijuana distribution in Nevada.

Fire crews from around the region are responding to a brush fire that sparked near Boomtown west of Reno Sunday, according to fire officials.

UPDATE 3:30PM: A fire investigator was called following a smoldering fire inside a residence that happened in a 12 foot by 15 foot bedroom, said Carson City Fire Department On-Duty Battalion Chief Jason Danen. Firefighters arrived at the residence in the 1000 block of Koontz Lane and found smoke in a bedroom where the fire had been smoldering. The cause is under investigation.
