Judge Bonnie Bulla to Address the Rotary Club of Carson City

Event Date:
September 15, 2020 - 12:45pm

Nevada Court of Appeals Judge Bonnie Bulla will be the guest speaker at The Rotary Club of Carson City’s lunchtime meeting on Tuesday, September 15th.

The public is invited to attend the event in person or online via Zoom.

The Court of Appeals, which was approved by voters in 2014, was created to help alleviate a backlog of cases pending before the state’s Supreme Court and handles a wide variety of cases, including family law, criminal and civil.

The idea for the court came from the concern that “Justice Delayed is Justice Denied”.

“Judge Bulla was appointed to the court last year. She brings a strong legal background to the position,” said Rotary Club President Rachelle Resnick. “I believe our members and guests will find her talk interesting and informative.”

The upcoming meeting provides attendees the option of an in-person or online meeting. The weekly in-person meetings take place at the Carson City Nugget in the Capitol Room on the second floor, which has enough space to allow for social distancing.

Judge Bulla’s presentation begins at 12:45 pm. Anyone interested in attending the meeting online or in-person should email Peter Fishburn at pfishburn@charter.net  For information on joining The Rotary Club of Carson City go to www.carsonrotary.org and click on “Why Join”.
