Carson City sheriff's crime log: Deputies make felony arrests on active warrants
Multiple bench warrants were served Friday into early Saturday morning, including two active felony warrants, Carson City Sheriff's deputies have reported.
Regina Jones, 25, of Carson City was taken into custody Friday morning at 9:40 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Edmonds Drive on an outstanding felony arrest warrant for burglarly issued out of the Carson City Justice Court, a deputy said.
According to the arrest report, law enforcement was dispatched to the area on report of a known person with a felony warrant.
Once on scene, contact was made with Jones and the warrant confirmed. She was then handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $25,000.
In other arrests:
— A 51 year-old Carson City man was arrested at 5:35 a.m. Saturday morning in the 1400 block of College Parkway on an outstanding felony bench warrant for theft issued out of the Carson City Justice Court, a Sheriff's deputy reported.
According to the arrest report, Christopher O'Connor was taken into custody subsequent to a traffic stop of the vehicle he was driving. The arresting deputy had run the license plate through dispatch, which showed an active warrant attached to it.
Once the vehicle was stopped, the officer made contact with the driver identified the driver as O'Connor, the report said. O'Connor was then handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $20,000.
— A 26 year-old transient male was arrested at 7 a.m. Friday morning on an outstanding misdemeanor bench warrant for probation violation after the suspect had turned himself in at the Carson City Jail, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the man had arrived at the jail and identified himself, stating he was there to turn himself in.
Both the subject's identification and the active warrant against him, issued out of the Carson City Justice Court, were confirmed and he was booked into jail. Bail: $3,000.
— A 35 year-old Carson City man was arrested at 6:52 p.m. Friday evening in the 200 block of Fleischmann Way on an active misdemeanor bench warrant for probation violation issued out of the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the report, the deputy was called to the area on report of a subject sleeping on the stairs of an apartment complex.
Upon arrival, law enforcement contacted the suspect, who awoke as he was being spoken to by the officer.
Once identified, dispatch had confirmed the outstanding warrant and the suspect was handcuffed, the report said.
He was transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $3,000.
— A 36 year-old Dayton woman was arrested Friday morning at 11:09 a.m. on Carry Road in Mound House on an active misdemeanor bench warrant for failure to appear issued out of the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies from Carson City and Lyon County sheriff's offices performed a warrant service at the address, where the woman was located and placed in custody after she was identified and the warrant confirmed.
She was transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $3,000.
