Carson City Fire Department respond to report of burning railroad tie near museum
Carson City Fire Department was called Monday night to the area of the Nevada Railroad Museum in the 2100 block of South Carson Street for a report of a railroad tie that was burning.
Dispatch reports around 7 p.m. a caller advised they saw smoke coming from a railroad tie and attempted to throw water on it. The caller alerted dispatch after the railroad tie continued to burn and discharge smoke.
Carson City firefighters called to the scene report finding a smoldering railroad tie and doused it with water.
