Carson City deputies make arrests for drug paraphernalia possession, warrants

A 31-year-old woman was arrested early Tuesday for suspicion of three counts misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

The arrest was made after officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not having a working brake light and for not stopping at a stop sign, with her vehicle partially in the cross walk and not at the limit line. The woman, from Dayton, was cited and released the previous week for having a brake light out.

The woman, who has a history of several drug charges, agreed to a consent to search her vehicle. Officers located a small black scale with crystalline residue, and a small clear plastic bag with an number of smaller clear plastic bags inside. The scale and the baggies were located together. The woman also admitted to having a pipe on her person. Bail: $3,411.

In other arrests:
— A 20-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday for a misdemeanor warrant alleging unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

According to the arrest report, at 2:47 a.m. a deputy conducted a business check at a casino. The deputy spoke with a male and asked him for identification. The man said he didn't have identification. The officer asked for his birthdate, which came back as him being 20. The deputy asked why he was in the casino while being under age 21. The man stated he had to go the restroom.

The deputy checked for wants and warrants through dispatch and learned the man had a confirmed warrant out of Carson City Justice Court, misdemeanor unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, with a $2,500 bondable bail. He was arrested.

— A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested June 5 for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued in October 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.

— A 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday for suspicion of violation of bail conditions. He was booked for being in violation of bail conditions (a no-alcohol clause) after providing a preliminary breath test of .179. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— A 51-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $500.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called late Monday morning to a traffic accident at Fifth Street and Fairview at the roundabout.
