Carson City weather: Sunny with highs in the 70s this week
Periods of high clouds, light valley winds and mostly sunny skies are expected for this first full week of fall around Carson City, according to the National Weather Service.
A ridge of high pressure along the west coast is gradually getting stronger leading to a slow warming trend. A weak upper level wave will brush by the region by late in the weekend.
Gusty east winds are possible near the ridge lines Monday and Tuesday night.
For Carson City, Carson Valley, Dayton and Silver Springs area, daytime highs will be in the high 60s Monday, the low 70s Tuesday, mid-70s Wednesday, and upper 70s to near 80 for Thursday and Friday.
