Carson Senators softball team advances in 4A regionals with 8-0 victory over Reed
The Carson Senators varsity softball team advanced in the 4A regional softball playoffs with a dominating 8-0 victory over the Reed Raiders Thursday.
At the plate, Carson tallied 11 hits with dingers from Kailee Luschar and Camryn Quilling that scored four total runs in the contest.
On the mound, starting pitcher Jailene Salceido threw a complete game shutout, surrendering just four hits and racking up three strikeouts.
Lauren Lemburg and Kendre Luschar also joined in on the hitting party for Carson, combining to go 5-for-8 with one RBI.
The Senators would put the Raiders away in the sixth inning, collecting four hits and scoring six runs in the frame thanks to RBIs from Nicole Brown and Kailee Luschar.
As it stands currently, Carson is expected to face Spanish Springs, Friday, May 11 at 12:30 p.m. with the winner advancing to the semifinals.
