Carson City emergency crews respond to accident at Highway 50 East near Goodwill
UPDATE: Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called to a vehicle accident in the 3500 block of Highway 50 East, across from the Goodwill store. The crash was reported to dispatch at 5:20 p.m.
Reporting witnesses told dispatch the accident involves a blue pickup. Initial reports to dispatch was that it was a rollover, however a Carson Now photographer who arrived on scene reports the vehicle was upright and blocking traffic.
The vehicle occupant was standing outside the pickup when the first rescue crew arrived and declined medical attention, according to dispatch.
Both eastbound lanes of traffic are blocked. Traffic is being re-directed around the crash scene through the center median lane. Motorists can expect delays.
