Multiple Carson City emergency units called to injury crash on North Carson Street
UPDATE: Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's office patrol units were called Thursday night to a vehicle crash in the 3100 block of North Carson Street in which two were injured including an 11-year-old girl who was briefly trapped in a vehicle.
The girl was flown by Care Flight to the trauma unit at Renown Medical Center in Reno, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Scott McDaniel.
The crash was reported just before 7:30 p.m. at 3103 North Carson Street. Multiple rescue units responded. Carson City sheriff's patrol officers had diverted traffic in the area on North Carson Street between Nye Lane and College Parkway. As of 9:20 p.m. both travel lanes were open.
The crash involved a silver sedan and a red pickup. The driver of the pickup was also injured and taken by ground ambulance to the hospital. The condition of the girl and the driver of the pickup is unknown at this time.
