Downtown Carson City street closures planned Sunday, Wednesday and Feb. 22
Carson City Public Works is reminding motorists of road closures for survey work in the downtown area on Sunday, Wednesday and again Sunday, Feb. 22.
On Sunday, Feb. 15, the intersection of Carson and William streets will be closed from from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and Carson Street from William Street to Musser Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Detours will be signed, said Patrick Pittenger, transportation manager for Carson City Public Works.
Survey work will continue with closures Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Third Street from Curry Street to Carson Street including the intersection of Third and Curry Streets from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The intersection of Musser and Curry streets from 10 a.m. to noon; Curry Street from Musser Street to Robinson Street from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the intersection of Robinson and Curry sStreets from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Survey work will pick up again Sunday, Feb. 22 at the intersection of Carson and Fifth streets from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Carson Street from Fifth Street to Robinson Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the intersection of Carson and Robinson Streets from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The intersection of Jerry Lane and Elaine Street will be closed the entire week. Jerry Lane will only be accessible from Ruth Street, but closed to through traffic from the west. Detours will be signed.
The sidewalk will be closed along the north side of Musser Street between Division Street and Minnesota Street and the east side of Minnesota Street between Musser Street and Proctor Street for the entire week.
