Walton’s Funerals & Cremations Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Walton’s Funerals & Cremations – Chapel of the Valley is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Carson City, with an afternoon of free events, all taking place at Walton’s, 1281 North Roop Street, on Sunday, December 13, 2015.
A free Senior Resource Fair will run from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., offering the community access to information on estate planning, independent living, affordable housing options, funeral planning, hospice care and more. Walton’s will also be offering free flu shots, in partnership with Immunize Nevada and Walgreens.
After the resource fair, local dignitaries, including Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell, will commemorate the anniversary with short presentations.
A long-time tradition, Walton’s Funerals & Cremations will host its Remembrance and Candle Lighting Service for anyone who has lost a loved one. The service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Valley and everyone is welcome.
There will be an additional candle lighting service at the Walton’s Funerals & Cremations - Sierra Chapel, 875 W. Second Street, Reno, on Sunday, December 6 at 5:00 p.m.
