Capital City Farm Days 2016 returns to Fuji Park April 21-22
Capital City Farm Days returns to Fuji Park and Carson City Fairgrounds April 21 and 22. The event is free and open to youth pre K-5th grade.
Presenters explain where and how we get our food and clothing. Interactive stations engage older students about the challenges facing modern farmers and ranchers: how agriculture affects our environment and how our environment affects agriculture.
Exhibits can include: cows, pigs, poultry, rabbits, sheep, bees, native pollinators, composting, native fishes, Carson River watershed, wild horse and burros and much more.
Students, teachers and parent chaperones begin arriving at 8:45 a.m. and are welcome to bring lunches and eat in the park. The event ends at 1:30 p.m.
