Carson City TRIAD presents Scams Targeting Older Adults
CARSON CITY, Nev. – Carson City Nevada Triad presents Scams Targeting Older Adults a presentation designed to educate you on the current trends in frauds and scams and learn how to not fall victim to their ploys. The event will take place in the Joshua Tree Room at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive, Tuesday, March 3 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Detective Josh Chaney from the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Fraud Unit will lead the discussion.
The presentation is free of charge and open to the public.
Lunch is served in the dining room from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and issued an invitation to community members to come have lunch prior to the presentation. Lunch is $6 for non-seniors and a suggested donation of $2.25 for seniors (60 and over).
Save the date for future Triad presentations: Tuesday, April 7 at 1 p.m. Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection Scam Presentation, Tuesday, April 21 at 1 p.m., Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body, Wednesday, April 29 from 4-7 p.m., Carson City Volunteer Fair and Tuesday, May 5 at 1 p.m., Lora Myles Nevada Elder Law Expert on Frauds and Scams.
Carson City Triad provides health and safety related information and is a collaboration between the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department and Senior Center.
