The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing adult. The investigation division of CCSO is attempting to locate Marc Cole, a 50-year-old white male adult.

Recent Douglas County homeowner radon test results show 21 percent of the homes tested during that past few months have elevated levels of cancer causing radon gas. In fact, some test results show alarming numbers in the 60’s, which is 1,500 percent above the EPA’s action level of 4 PicoCuries per liter of air.

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles will be unable to issue driver licenses or learner permits on Saturday, Feb. 25, due to a planned Verizon network outage that will impact the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration’s Problem Driver Pointer System. This outage will affect all Nevada DMV offices regardless of location.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded late Monday morning to a reported structure fire in the 600 block of South Nevada Street.

Written by Patrick Hamilton and produced by the Proscenium Players Inc., the play is a dark tale of a marriage based on deceit and trickery, and a husband committed to driving his wife insane in order to steal from her.

Performances take place the last weekend of February and the first weekend in March at Brewery Art Center’s Maize Theater in Carson City.
