The Carson City Board of Supervisors voted to approve the three appeals against the Carson Valley Meats processing facility on Thursday evening, which denies the Carson Valley Meats project.

As of 11:20 a.m., one lane is open on I-580 after a brief closure of all lanes, but lengthy delays are expected.

I-580 southbound lanes south of Mount Rose between Reno and Carson City has been narrowed to one lane, according to Nevada State Police.

The SR-431 on-ramp is closed. Motorists should use an alternate route as it is unknown when the road will fully reopen.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking for assistance in identifying two suspects in a case involving passing counterfeit money.
