Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter in Carson City announces 2022 Hobbs Education Fund Winner
The EAA (Experiment Aircraft Association) Sierra Chapter 403 in Carson City, NV is pleased to announce this year’s recipient of the Hobbs Education Fund award; this honor goes to Ryan Crāpo.
Ryan was 11 years old when he took his first EAA Young Eagles Flight at Carson City Airport and has been hooked on flying ever since. Ryan pursued his passion for aviation by earning his Glider Pilots License at age 16 and is now working on his Private Pilot’s License for powered aircraft. He is currently a Senior at Galena High School in their STEM program and plans to pursue a career as a Commercial Airline Pilot. This award is for Ryan to finish his Private Pilot’s License.
Mike Hardison, EAA Chapter 403 Scholarship Coordinator stated that “EAA Sierra Chapter is dedicated to promoting aviation careers and helping people pursue their dreams. Ryan is a terrific candidate and will be an inspiration to incoming Young Eagles. I want to thank our member donors and volunteers who make these awards possible.”
The Chapter Board of Directors presented this award to Ryan Crāpo at the Carson City Airport on January 31, 2022.
