Traffic going to and from the south shore over US50 is cut off Friday morning due to a rock slide.
At 5:46 a.m. the report of a slide was received by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
A Toyota 4runner collided into the boulders after the slide occurred. No injuries were reported.
There is no estimated time of opening and no detour. Road crews are going to look at opening Johnson Pass Road but that is still covered in snow and ice. Travelers will have to use north shore routes or SR89/88.
Expect long delay.
