Carson City area weather: Sunshine then cooler midweek with slight chance of showers
The sunny and pleasant spring weather will continue around the Carson City region over the next couple days, with more sunshine and generally light winds before a cooler pattern begins late Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
The next weather system will bring down temperatures some and may produce a few showers into Wednesday, but nothing in the way of a major precipitation producer, forecasters say. Daytime high temperatures Wednesday around Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas will be in the mid-50s.
Around the Lake Tahoe Basin and Sierra, temperatures will be cooler, with a chance of rain showers Tuesday night, and a 30 percent chance of snow showers Wednesday, according to the weather service.
After Wednesday we're looking at warmer and drier conditions going into the weekend, with daytime highs near 70 for the valleys. Go here to read the latest National Weather Service forecast discussion.
